Powerhouse were invited to devise and perform a piece of theatre on the life of Lewis Carroll to be performed outdoors in Guildfords Castle grounds. The piece ‘Mr Carrroll Invites’ was a hugely satisfying project that involved young people from youth theatres across Surrey, professional actors and a forty piece community choir (the wonderful Guildford Vox) the weather held and a memorable day was had by all.

Powerhouse were commisioned by Guildford Museum to perform a piece of live theatre that was performed in the museum and tied in with their hidden artefacts exhibition. ‘Hidden House Mysteries’ provided a dramatic context for the exhibition, with live actors enacting many stories, some real and some imagined that surrounded the objects on display.

Surrey Arts invited Powerhouse to perform a site specific piece of theatre for the Loseley Festival, the result of which was ‘Phantasmagoria’.

Powerhouse has been invited to perform a piece of site specific theatre, that will help bring the historic Guildford House to life. The piece will give an insight into the lives of the people who lived there and also give the opportunity for the audience to experience an informative and entertaining piece of theatre promenade style.
